VERBund (VERBUND) is Austria’s leading electricity company and wanted to remove a major barrier for new customers: the 33‑digit meter identification number that was difficult to type, prone to human error, and slowed onboarding. To digitize and simplify the process in its mobile experience, Verbund selected Anyline’s mobile scanning/data‑capture solution to capture the long meter number directly from customers’ smartphones.
Anyline’s mobile scanning was integrated into Verbund’s website/app so customers can scan their meter number and have it automatically uploaded to the checkout, eliminating manual entry. The Anyline implementation optimized Verbund’s digital processes, reduced input errors, and significantly expedited the customer onboarding and checkout experience.
