How Red Bull Raised Customer Engagement with Mobile OCR

Red Bull MOBILE wanted to boost customer engagement for its "Red Bull MOBILE Collect" loyalty program but found manually entering small voucher codes on can tabs was slow and error-prone. They worked with Anyline to explore a mobile OCR/scanning solution that could capture the eight-digit codes printed on the tabs and streamline the user experience.

Anyline’s mobile scanning/OCR was integrated into the promotion (with a flashlight feature to aid scanning), letting customers quickly capture tiny codes to earn Energy Points. The result: over 48,000 unique customers used the scanner and it recorded 325,000 scans during the campaign, simplifying redemption and driving measurable engagement for Red Bull MOBILE.
