To meet this challenge they partnered with Anyline and integrated Anyline’s Mobile Meter Reading into their customer-facing app.
Anyline’s on-device SDK let Innogy customers scan meters with their smartphones—meter reads that are 20× faster than typing—leading to more than 9,000 scans in 2021, thousands of man-hours saved, fewer billing inquiries, and greater reading accuracy and usage transparency. Anyline’s solution also ensured data security by processing scans on the user’s device, helping Innogy cut administrative work while demonstrating innovation to its customers.
