Trusted Remote Software to Access Sensitive Patient Data

The Magdeburg Data Integration Center, a joint institution of the Medical Faculty of Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg and Magdeburg University Hospital, needed a secure remote access solution for handling sensitive patient and research data. As an institution working with large amounts of critical medical information, it required high transmission quality, compatibility across operating systems, and the ability to operate within an isolated network to keep full control over all data. AnyDesk provided the remote software foundation for these needs.

AnyDesk implemented an On-Premises solution with real-time transmission and customizable clients, enabling the DIZ to keep data inside its secured network while still allowing flexible remote work and international collaboration. The result was secure access to patient data without local storage, efficient cross-border collaboration, and fast transfer of large research datasets. The organization has used AnyDesk since 2016 and reports 10 employees, 30 projects, 15 devices, and 25 virtual machines supported by the solution.
