DHBW Karlsruhe, the Baden-Württemberg Cooperative State University campus in Karlsruhe, needed a simple and trustworthy remote access solution when its IT team had to support employees working from home and 700 lecturers teaching remotely. The university’s seven-person IT department also needed to manage devices across multiple locations while keeping data protection front and center, so it required an on-premises remote maintenance tool that would run within its own network. AnyDesk was selected for this use case.

AnyDesk implemented an on-premises solution with a custom client tailored to DHBW Karlsruhe’s branding and data protection requirements. The rollout was completed in just one day, and the system has run stably since then, enabling fast remote support with a clear interface and strong security features that increased employee trust and acceptance. The result was reliable remote maintenance for 260 employees and 300 devices across 3 locations, with DHBW Karlsruhe highlighting AnyDesk’s ease of use and responsive customer support.
