The National Estuarine Research Reserve System’s Centralized Data Management Office Chooses AnyChart to Visualize Water Quality and Weather Data

The National Estuarine Research Reserve System (NERRS) needed a fast, clean way to present near real-time water quality and weather data from reserves across the U.S. Its Centralized Data Management Office had to make hourly updates easy to view for a wide audience, from local fishermen to research scientists, using tools that could display one or multiple parameters over the past 24 hours. AnyChart was selected to support this data visualization need.

AnyChart implemented charting technology that pulled data from an SQL database, converted it to XML through ColdFusion, and fed it into the Flex version of the AnyChart component for quick graph updates. AnyChart’s customization options were used to create clear, interactive visualizations, and the result was a sleek, intuitive interface that made the data easier to read and understand. NERRS reported strong satisfaction with AnyChart’s customer service and said it intends to use AnyChart in future applications.
