BasisPoint, a creator of custom financial tools for institutional investors, faced the challenge of eliminating high-risk human errors inherent in the industry's standard use of Excel spreadsheets for tracking and analyzing investments. To bring investment management into the modern world, they turned to the vendor Anvil and its platform for building web applications.

Using Anvil, BasisPoint built a Python-based UI to provide clients with tailor-made dashboards and analytics tools on top of their existing analysis libraries. This solution from Anvil allowed them to build a working prototype in weeks and quickly create custom tools for each client. As a result, BasisPoint was serving seven clients within seven months of launch and now provides analytics on billions of euros invested.
