Belk, a historic department store chain with nearly 300 stores and an online storefront, faced outdated forecasting—relying on average historical sales—so merchants couldn’t quickly capitalize on rising trends or limit losses from declines. As part of a $130M smart technology initiative to modernize planning and fulfillment, Belk engaged Antuit and deployed Antuit’s demand forecasting solution built on the SAS analytical toolset.

Antuit implemented an end-to-end enterprise demand signal integrated with SAS Planning, Oracle Replenishment and Allocation, and Belk’s assortment system, producing forecasts that account for seasonality, promotions and events and enabling automated SKU-level replenishment.
