York University in Toronto engaged Anthology to build new giving forms for several departments and to streamline gift data processes on the Encompass platform. During testing, York identified three efficiency opportunities: using the Ellucian CRM Advance connector for all giving data, managing non‑member records in the central database while including them as Encompass members, and leveraging tokens from instanced hidden value fields so three communities could support unique receipt content.
Anthology implemented these improvements and delivered three custom giving templates—one for the university’s primary giving site, one for the Law School, and one for the Business School—resulting in seven distinct giving forms with unique PDF receipt content across the three communities. The work standardized data flow via the Ellucian CRM Advance connector, consolidated non‑member records into the central database, and increased team efficiency while enabling tailored donor receipts.
