Webster University, a St. Louis–based institution with more than 100 campus locations worldwide, needed to cut costs, increase office efficiencies, and better measure and improve alumni engagement. To address this, Webster adopted Anthology’s email marketing tools (the iModules platform) to standardize communications, give staff easy-to-use templates, and support more targeted outreach.

Anthology implemented reusable email templates, audience segmentation (by location, class year, parents, alumni leaders), targeted campaigns (decade-specific reunion emails), analytics tracking, and social integration. The work reduced administrative time and boosted engagement: targeted emails commonly achieved 40–60% open rates (40% for parents, 95% for alumni leaders), and social referrals grew substantially—Facebook +42.4%, LinkedIn +32.5%, and Twitter +74%.
