University of Portland Reports RecordBreaking Day on #GivingTuesday

The University of Portland turned to Anthology (using iModules’ Encompass content management, online giving, and email marketing tools) to run its first one-day Giving Tuesday campaign. The private university challenged alumni, students, parents, faculty and staff to secure 100 new gifts in 24 hours and promoted the effort through its newly launched iModules giving website.

Anthology’s Encompass tools powered a dedicated Giving Tuesday page with real-time gift totals, pre-populated donation amounts, designation and payment options, and integrated matching gift info; the site also used homepage banners and a Lightbox, segmented Encompass email sends, social media, and on-campus events to drive participation. The result was a record-breaking day for the University of Portland: 258 total gifts (158% of goal), $56,506 raised, 81 first-time donors, 59 donors who increased annual gifts, and a $15,000 matching gift unlocked — all enabled by Anthology.
