A Anthology Case Study
The University of Denver, which serves roughly 130,000 alumni, relied heavily on the Encompass platform but faced siloed operations and uneven training among about 240 administrators; although 95% of communications flowed through Encompass, timing, messaging, and module use lacked consistency. To fix this, the University engaged Anthology for strategic consulting on its Encompass (iModules) implementation to audit usage, set goals, and centralize best practices.
Anthology conducted a 60-day, five-step review—including a comprehensive email communications analysis, benchmarking, and a prioritized action plan using tools like Online Giving, Email Marketing, Events, Online Community and Class Notes (plus social login). As a result of Anthology’s recommendations, email open rates rose from 20% to 33%, event registrations increased (the Class of 1963 50th Reunion reached 103 registrations, an 83% jump), online donation tracking and reconciliation improved, and overall engagement and messaging consistency were significantly enhanced.
