The University of Central Arkansas, home to roughly 64,000 living alumni, needed to build on steady growth from prior years and exceed an internal goal of $500,000 for its 5th annual day of giving. To create more excitement and engagement for the 2019 campaign, UCA turned to Anthology and its Scoreboards product to introduce new crowdfunding dynamics, real‑time progress displays, and mobile-friendly giving options.
Anthology implemented Scoreboards alongside segmented communications in Encompass, opening 45+ campus funds, adding PayPal and digital wallets, a donor roll and phone‑volunteer outreach, and an interactive “Bear Nation” map and “Bear Breakdown” tracker. The campaign raised $757,939 (a 74.4% year‑over‑year increase), attracted more than 1,400 donors with 21% giving for the first time, saw roughly 25% of gifts via PayPal, and tripled online gift transactions versus 2018.
