University of Alabama at Birmingham Modernizes its Online Constituent Experience

The University of Alabama at Birmingham came to Anthology (formerly iModules) to modernize and streamline its online constituent experience for giving and membership across 135,000+ alumni, seeking to replace clunky forms and multiple systems and align its alumni site with the main uab.edu brand. UAB engaged Anthology’s Encompass platform and services to redesign the website and simplify online giving and membership workflows.

Anthology implemented a branded site redesign, streamlined custom giving forms (multiple designations, recurring gifts, in memoriam/joint gifts, HEP Matching Gift integration), role‑based membership forms with eight tiers and auto‑renewal, pre‑populated constituent data, and email/event templates. Since launch, email open rates climbed from 13.6% to 20.94% (about a 54% increase) and email click rates are up 90%; Anthology’s Encompass solution also simplified processes and is expected to drive higher giving, traffic, event participation, and volunteer engagement.
