University of Alabama at Birmingham Modernizes its Online Constituent Experience

The University of Alabama (UAB) engaged Anthology (iModules’ Encompass) to modernize and streamline its online constituent experience for giving and membership. Facing clunky forms and multiple systems, UAB’s National Alumni Society and Advancement Services needed a redesigned site to match its main .edu branding, simplify giving, track membership across 135,000+ alumni, and boost engagement and data capture.

Anthology’s iModules Professional Services delivered an Encompass-based solution: a branded website redesign, pre-populated constituent profiles, role-based membership forms supporting eight tiers with auto‑renewal and lifetime options, and streamlined giving forms (multiple designations, memorial/joint/recurring gifts, HEP matching integration), plus custom email and event templates. Since launch, email open rates rose from 13.6% to 20.94% (≈54% increase) and click rates are about 90% higher, while the new platform simplified processes and saved internal time and resources.
