A Anthology Case Study
The University of Petroleum and Energy Studies (UPES) in Dehradun, a 5,000+ student private university, faced the sudden need in March 2020 to move all courses online while protecting student and faculty well‑being and maintaining engagement. UPES’s existing hybrid teaching experience and familiarity with Anthology products helped, but faculty had just one week to convert curricula and learn the LMS — Blackboard Learn Ultra (Blackboard LEARN) and Collaborate — to deliver remote instruction effectively.
Anthology provided Blackboard Learn (Blackboard Learn Ultra) and Collaborate plus SOPs, 24/7 support, virtual office hours, recorded trainings and faculty onboarding, enabling UPES to move 100% of classes online within a week. Using platform tools like breakout rooms, polls and attendance/engagement reports helped manage large classes and sustain interaction; UPES also ran master classes that trained over 2,100 internship candidates in April 2020 and collected more than 400 video‑resume submissions, with overall engagement described as better than expected.
