A Anthology Case Study
The University of Tennessee, Knoxville faced the challenge of centralizing assessment across academic and student affairs to increase transparency, empower faculty, and build campus-wide buy-in for continuous assessment—while managing nearly 300 programmatic assessment reports. To meet this need they partnered with Anthology, deploying Anthology’s Planning tool (and later Assessment Cycles) to standardize templates, make data broadly available, and support a formal meta‑assessment model.
Anthology helped UT Knoxville implement the Planning tool across units, modify templates/reports to shift feedback to faculty reviewers, and introduce Assessment Cycles organized around a Plan‑Do‑Check‑Act workflow. The solution added dashboards and deadline-driven tracking so administrators can see completion percentages, identify missing components in real time, and generate targeted reports. As a result, feedback to deans and directors now arrives about two months earlier, reporting timeliness and quality have improved, and the campus can more effectively manage and monitor its assessment processes.
