Howard College's financial aid department needed an online, real-time verification solution to serve students across four campuses with a small staff, reduce paper reliance, and cut verification errors and processing time. To meet those needs they implemented Anthology’s Student Verification® and related mailbox tools to enable remote access for long-distance employees and eliminate the back-and-forth of paper files.
Anthology’s Student Verification® portal, mailbox product and text-message notifications streamlined document submission, virtual advising and work assignment, leading to measurable gains: decreased error rates, resolution of a decade-old audit issue, and no audit findings since implementation in March 2016. The college reports thousands saved in printing/postage, faster student response times, and improved satisfaction (85% knew what to do after FAFSA, 89% received awards on time, 88% found Financial Aid easy to work with), while staff gained the ability to work securely off-site during COVID.
