Public Community College Replaces Legacy System with Cloud-Based Platform to Transform Operational Efficiency

Central Arizona College, a public community college in Coolidge, AZ with five campuses, three centers and more than 7,000 students, faced a legacy student information system that couldn’t keep pace with changing constituencies, declining enrollments, tight budgets, limited CRM and degree‑audit capabilities, and the need to support competency‑based programs. To modernize, Central Arizona selected Anthology and its CampusNexus suite — CampusNexus Student, CampusNexus CRM and CampusNexus Finance, HR & Payroll — deployed on the CampusNexus Cloud (Microsoft Azure).

Anthology implemented the CampusNexus SaaS solution, migrating the college to the cloud, consolidating infrastructure (cutting six servers down to two and moving four virtual servers under vendor management), and freeing four ERP analysts to work in frontline business offices during implementation. With Anthology’s project management, training and ongoing support, CAC achieved faster reporting and greater operational transparency, improved recruitment and student tracking through CRM and degree‑audit tools, and concrete efficiencies in IT overhead and staff allocation that supported go‑live of the student system and subsequent financial aid, CRM, finance, HR and payroll modules.
