Innovative Teaching Through Blackboard’s Digital Teaching and Learning Series

TAIF University in Taif, Saudi Arabia faced rising student demand and the need to move from traditional instruction to technology-enabled, flexible pedagogy. To upskill faculty and boost adoption of its learning platform, Anthology delivered the Digital Teaching and Learning Series (DTLS) to certify academic staff and provide practical training in online course design and tools.

Anthology rolled out DTLS in January 2019 with scheduled courses, nominated faculty participants, hands-on workshops and practice sessions, which increased instructor confidence and LMS usage. The program improved faculty–student communication (especially for distance learners), raised student engagement and self-directed learning, and helped instructors design more effective online courses; early campaign metrics showed the initiative reached 87% of the projected interest goal within six months and surpassed original projections.
