Indiana State University Winner of Campus Management’s Award for Excellence in Innovation

Indiana State University, serving about 11,500 students, faced a labor‑intensive process for tracking prerequisite exams required for its Distance Nursing program. To streamline recruitment, recordkeeping, and communications, Indiana State partnered with Anthology and implemented Anthology’s CRM solution to centralize student profiles and automate exam‑stage communications.

Anthology deployed automated campaign mailers, canned responses and a custom workspace showing student status, payment history and all communications, enabling staff to admit 200 nursing students who completed the testing process. The CRM sent roughly 1,500 automated messages (reducing Outlook workload), eliminated at least 1,000 manual data‑entry points, and made it easy to report that 78% of exam registrants passed on the first attempt—delivering measurable improvements in efficiency, reporting and personalized student outreach.
