How UVF created holistic assessment by connecting data to tangible action

The University of Valley Forge faced an inefficient, disconnected assessment system where faculty lacked access to their own data and there was no easy way to aggregate results at program or institutional levels. Working with Anthology and its Campus Labs assessment and student success platform, UVF intentionally involved faculty in the purchase and implementation to build a holistic, collaborative approach to assessment and decision-making.

Anthology’s Campus Labs solution gave UVF aggregated data access at the faculty, department, and institutional levels and allowed co‑curricular outcome reporting to be integrated into one platform. Using the Campus Labs student success tools and a quick-adapted COVID‑19 climate survey with automated alerts, UVF was able to trigger targeted outreach, connect students to resources, identify an institution-wide assessment trend in small classes, and adjust assessment and support strategies to improve planning, student success, and retention.
