Arcadia University faced a new challenge with UKnightedTuesday on December 1, 2020: for the first time the annual fundraising event had to be entirely virtual due to COVID-19, and the previous platform required manual coding, limited site functionality, and could only go live on the day of the event. To address this, Arcadia partnered with Anthology to reimagine the event experience and make the campaign scalable and easy to manage.
Anthology implemented its Encompass-powered solution for the event site, content management, email marketing and online giving, adding leaderboards, segmented email campaigns, livestream integration and a post-event stewardship hub. The result: Arcadia raised $315,949+ in exactly 1,853 minutes—surpassing a $200,000 goal and blowing past the prior year’s $129,077—driven by targeted challenges like a $30k Black Alumni Early-Bird and a $10k Reunion challenge.
