How Qwickly Jot and Blackboard Learn helped improve accessibility and engagement among engineering students at Kettering University

Kettering University needed a better way for graduate engineering students in its Masters of Science Electrical and Computer Engineering - Advanced Mobility Program to complete complex math problems online. The university turned to Anthology’s Blackboard Learn environment and Qwickly Jot to support students working on long-form assignments in a digital setting.

Anthology helped Kettering University use Qwickly Jot with Blackboard Learn so students could write, annotate, and sketch on assignments with a stylus and tablet, while instructors could create, grade, and sync work in the LMS. After more than five years of use, the university reported overwhelmingly positive feedback, improved student engagement and performance, increased accessibility, and a custom update for a larger white screen to better handle long math problems.
