A Anthology Case Study
Everett Community College faced a challenge common to many institutions: relying on end-of-term, paper-based evaluations that offered limited, retrospective insight into teaching and learning. To bring real-time, formative feedback into classrooms, Everett Community College partnered with Anthology to pilot an online Feedback tool (deployed via Anthology’s course-evaluation platform) so instructors could collect student input during the term instead of only afterward.
Anthology’s Feedback tool used seven IDEA‑based questions delivered 3–4 times over a 10‑week term via students’ devices, with results visible only to each instructor. Faculty used the rapid, paperless data to clarify objectives, adjust teaching methods, increase one‑to‑one interactions, and follow up with students; the pilot produced stronger end‑of‑course evaluations and measurable improvements in student learning outcomes and retention, and earned Everett Community College a Campus Labs Trailblazer Award.
