EDHEC, Blackboard’s oldest client in France, found that the newest version of Blackboard perfectly met their needs as a business school

EDHEC Business School, a top European business school with campuses in Lille, Nice, Paris, London and Singapore and more than 10,000 learners, needed a modern LMS to support online and hybrid delivery, improve accessibility and personalization, and reduce faculty workload. After benchmarking options, EDHEC selected Anthology’s Blackboard (Blackboard Ultra) as the vendor and product to meet its innovation and AI-ready strategic goals.

Anthology delivered Blackboard Ultra through a phased rollout—launching in-class online exams in September 2022, transitioning the global MBA, and supporting campus-wide adoption with workshops, tutorials and sandbox environments ahead of a planned full migration in September 2024. The implementation produced clear results: professors report a simpler interface and faster task completion, students find course content easier to access, and Anthology’s AI features (such as the Design Assistant) are already saving faculty time, enabling more formative exercises and supporting personalized, analytics-driven learning.
