A Anthology Case Study
The Singapore University of Technology and Design faced a sudden shift to fully online delivery in March 2020 and needed a consistent, scalable approach for its freshman Fundamental Biology Course (about 450 students) to preserve learning outcomes and assessment integrity. With Anthology’s Blackboard® Learn already in use at SUTD, instructors chose a single LMS to minimize disruption while redesigning delivery, assessments, and support for remote learning.
Using Anthology’s Blackboard® Learn as a one‑stop shop, SUTD uploaded pre‑recorded videos, quizzes, assignments, and used the Grade Center and Turnitin for feedback and plagiarism checks, while running synchronous sessions through virtual meeting rooms and flipped‑learning activities. The result was a smooth transition to fully online teaching: students reported high satisfaction with the videos and engagement strategies, the course continued to serve ~450 students effectively, and academic performance remained comparable to face‑to‑face delivery, demonstrating Anthology’s platform supported a successful remote learning model.
