Blackboard and University of Westminster: A sprint to prepare online courses for virtual learning

University of Westminster, a UK university of about 19,000 students across four campuses, faced an urgent challenge to move roughly 2,500 courses onto the Learn Ultra platform ahead of the fall 2020 term after COVID-19 forced a rapid pivot to virtual teaching. Anthology stepped in as the vendor partner to support this accelerated migration and to help instructors and leaders make the transition with minimal disruption.

Anthology delivered a two‑pronged solution combining hands‑on consulting with customised analytics — the Rapid Online Analytics Reporting (ROAR) package drawing on the Blackboard Data Platform — to produce tailored action plans, prioritize mid‑transition courses, and target communications and resources to colleges and instructors. The engagement gave Westminster clear, institution‑wide visibility into course readiness, enabled targeted support interventions, and helped ensure Learn Ultra courses were prepared for students at the start of term.
