Automating Higher Education Processes with Workflows

Chatham University, a Pittsburgh institution of more than 2,200 students, faced inefficient academic scheduling, frequent data-entry errors in enrollment management, and time-consuming manual processes. To address these challenges the university worked with Anthology, deploying workflows in the CampusNexus student information system to streamline operations.

Anthology implemented three CampusNexus workflows—a classroom-size workflow for accurate room assignments, an enrollment-management wizard that reduced mismatched and inaccurate data entry by nearly 100%, and a late-payment fee workflow that eliminated two days of manual Student Accounts processing per month. The changes cut data-cleanup tickets from 109 to zero in six months, saved 192 staff hours and more than $13,000 annually, and freed staff to focus on student success.
