A Anthology Case Study
Marshall University, a public four-year institution in Huntington, West Virginia serving ~10,000 students, faced a drop in admit-to-enroll yield amid broader state enrollment declines and internal challenges (staff turnover, inconsistent processes, delayed CRM). In 2022 Marshall’s yield fell to 27%, so they engaged Anthology and its Anthology Enrollment Management service in 2023 to reverse the trend.
Anthology implemented a two‑pronged, insight-driven approach—targeted multi-modal engagement campaigns plus enrollment coaches—focused on freshmen and a key “Metro Students” cohort and coordinated closely with Marshall’s admissions and student affairs teams. The effort reached 7,400 students (8,158 texts, 7,635 emails, 24,601 calls), raised freshman yield from 27% to 33% (35.7% for students receiving high-touch coaching), delivered 212 additional freshmen enrollments (+13.2%), and produced a 19.8% year‑over‑year increase for Metro Students—results delivered by Anthology.
