A Anthology Case Study
California State University Chico, one of 23 CSU campuses serving over 16,000 students including many first‑generation and English language learners, faced widespread accessibility gaps in course content flagged by Anthology Ally. The university’s Office of Accessible Technology and Services and Information Resources needed a programmatic approach to support instructors and scale remediation with a small central team as part of their Graduation 2025 Initiative.
Anthology implemented a four‑phase rollout of Anthology Ally that combined personalized remediation plans and hands‑on pilot support with a two‑tier ticketing system to route simple fixes to instructor contacts and complex work to a remediation team using Ally’s HTML alternative as a starting point. The solution increased student use of alternative formats, improved operational efficiency and tracking, and—per Chico State—reduced remediation time by an estimated 25%, enabling campus‑wide scaling and faster turnaround.
