A Anthology Case Study
California State University, San Bernardino (CSUSB) faced a tight timeline to prepare for its Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC/WSCUC) review and needed a collaborative, evidence-based assessment approach that linked strategic planning to accreditation reporting. To replace an unpopular reporting tool and build integrated processes with strong faculty buy-in, CSUSB implemented Anthology (formerly Campus Labs), using Anthology Accreditation, Anthology Outcomes, and Anthology Planning to create a shared campus platform.
Anthology rolled out an integrated solution beginning with a pilot in Academic Affairs and quick expansion to Student Affairs, using the Planning IEEI template to collect accreditation-required data and semester curriculum assessment plans. The platform turned assessment plans into “living documents,” boosted faculty participation, and shifted division reporting from highlight-driven PR to objective-based, evidence-informed reporting by year two. Anthology’s tools helped CSUSB align reporting to the 2015–2020 strategic plan, add five objectives tied to priorities, improve efficiency in accreditation preparation, and establish baselines for continuous improvement.
