Textile Brand Certification Strategy for a Global Apparel Retailer

A major apparel retailer sought to determine the optimal strategy for certifying its supply chain against key textile sustainability standards. The company engaged Anthesis to identify which certifications would be most impactful for its business and customers, assess its existing verification processes, and develop a plan to achieve brand-level certification for use on product tags.

Anthesis conducted a two-phase project, beginning with an analytical stage to prioritize certifications and perform gap analyses. This was followed by a solutions phase where Anthesis developed a strategic roadmap and action plan for the retailer. The results included a prioritized list of the most relevant certifications from an initial set of 19 and a detailed comparative analysis of requirements. Ultimately, Anthesis provided the retailer with the procedures and strategic plan needed to efficiently achieve its brand certification goals.
