Plastics Waste Recycling for Circularity in the Chemical Industry World Economic Forum (WEF)

The World Economic Forum (WEF) engaged Anthesis to support its Low-Carbon Emitting Technologies initiative. The challenge was to help leading chemical industry players collaborate to accelerate the development of low-carbon technologies and turn linear plastic value chains into circular ones, thereby reducing plastic waste and greenhouse gas emissions.

Anthesis provided management consultancy services and delivered a comprehensive report to build a joint knowledge base. This included market analysis, technology assessments, and the development of roadmaps. The solution identified key circular value chains and resulted in three concrete project proposals for collaborative R&D and scaling efforts, equipping the initiative to significantly increase plastics recycling and reduce emissions by 2030.
