PGGM cuts emissions by 21% in one year with Anthesis

PGGM, one of the largest pension funds in the Netherlands, sought to become a more sustainable, climate-neutral organization. To achieve this, they partnered with the sustainability activator Anthesis to calculate their carbon footprint and implement an effective reduction strategy.

Anthesis provided services including a GreenScan and their CO2 Management tool to identify emission sources. This led to targeted actions like promoting electric vehicles and reducing air travel and paper use, achieving a 21% emissions cut in one year. Anthesis also facilitated the offsetting of remaining emissions through a Gold Standard project in Kenya.
