Net Zero Goal Setting and Implementation for Ecolab

Ecolab, a global leader in water, hygiene, and infection prevention solutions, sought to solidify its sustainability leadership by establishing ambitious, science-aligned climate commitments. To address this challenge, they engaged the sustainability consultancy Anthesis to develop a comprehensive net-zero goal-setting and implementation strategy.

Anthesis provided a full suite of services, including GHG emissions inventory management, climate risk modeling, and science-based target development. The solution involved modeling future business growth against reduction initiatives and managing a cross-functional team to build a feasible roadmap. As a result, Ecolab announced a commitment to achieve Net Zero by 2050 and halve its emissions by 2030, supported by a 100 MW virtual power purchase agreement to cover its North American electricity needs.
