Enfinium assesses hydrogen generation across 5 sites with Anthesis

Enfinium, a leader in the energy-from-waste sector, faced the challenge of identifying new commercial opportunities as the electricity market transformed. They commissioned Anthesis to conduct a technical prefeasibility study to explore the potential for hydrogen production at their sites, aiming to establish maximum generation capacity, identify key limiting factors, and estimate associated costs.

Anthesis delivered the hydrogen feasibility study, determining that electrolytic hydrogen generation was technically feasible. The vendor identified the most suitable sites, developed concept designs for deployment at five locations, and produced a preliminary design for a demonstrator plant. The study included a Class 5 CAPEX cost estimate and an OPEX estimate, providing Enfinium with the findings and recommendations needed to inform their future energy transition strategy.
