Developing a Net Zero Carbon Strategy for The Wrekin Housing Group

Wrekin Housing Group, a social housing provider, needed to develop a strategy to achieve net zero carbon across its large portfolio of properties and buildings. They engaged the sustainability consultancy Anthesis to model decarbonisation scenarios and identify funding options to supplement their investment budgets.

Anthesis conducted energy modelling, stakeholder engagement, and site audits to create a detailed net zero strategy for the client. This work revealed the potential to drastically reduce carbon emissions and identified access to over £57 million in theoretical grant funding. Anthesis also modelled potential annual energy bill savings of £1.25 million for the group's residents.
