Orange Business Services faced a challenge at their UK headquarters where an outdated and unreliable Building Energy Management System (BEMS) had led to manual control of heating and ventilation. This resulted in energy waste and placed a time-consuming burden on staff. To restore automation, improve comfort, and reduce consumption, they engaged the vendor Anthesis to optimize their BEMS.

Anthesis conducted a detailed review of the system and, through its partner Carrob Controls, recommended and implemented a partial upgrade of the BEMS controllers and software. This solution delivered a significant measurable impact, reducing electricity consumption by 15% and gas consumption by 35%. The project also successfully restored staff confidence in the automated system. Orange Business Services was so pleased with the results that they subsequently engaged Anthesis for further work on their building cooling systems.
