Case Study: Kia achieves carbon literacy and sustainability momentum with Anthesis

A Anthesis Case Study

Preview of the Kia Case Study

Anthesis supported Kia employees to become certified as Carbon Literate Citizens

Kia UK, a multinational automobile manufacturer, sought to create a sustainability mindset among its employees and embed its carbon neutrality commitments. Their challenge was to ensure all colleagues had a unified understanding of the climate crisis and its specific impact on the automotive industry to enable robust sustainability planning.

Anthesis addressed this by creating and delivering a bespoke Carbon Literacy training program for Kia UK. This solution equipped employees with the knowledge to become certified Carbon Literate Citizens and guided the organization to a Silver Carbon Literate Organisation certification. The results included over 70% of colleagues committing to new carbon-reducing actions, kickstarting several sustainability initiatives, and achieving an estimated annual savings of 88,690 kgs of CO2e. Anthesis continues to support Kia UK in its journey toward Gold level certification.
