Anthesis worked with a global food retailer, a new signatory to the New Plastics Economy Global Commitment. The retailer's challenge was to establish a data-driven baseline of its plastic packaging footprint to meet its public 2025 targets and fulfill its annual reporting requirements.
Anthesis developed the methodology and led the effort to calculate the plastic footprint by engaging with the retailer's suppliers, gathering packaging data to identify hotspots. This process established a strategic roadmap for reducing and eliminating packaging. The project successfully created a scaled-up baseline, pinpointing the best ways to implement changes to support the organization's progress towards its ambitious goals.
