Case Study: EUISSCA advances supply chain sustainability across the electric utility sector with Anthesis

A Anthesis Case Study

Preview of the EUISSCA Case Study

Anthesis helped the Alliance to improve the performance of all electric utility members in three key areas: successful practice adoption, supplier engagement and sustainability maturity

Anthesis was engaged by the Electric Utility Industry Sustainable Supply Chain Alliance (EUISSCA), a group of utility companies, to address the challenge of improving sustainable performance across their supply chains. The Alliance’s key objectives were to boost the adoption of successful practices, increase supplier engagement, and enhance overall sustainability maturity among its members.

To meet this challenge, Anthesis provided a multi-disciplinary team to staff the Alliance's executive office, driving its strategic direction and implementation. The team educated members on sustainable practices and implemented an annual supplier survey, which achieved 100% adoption by all utility members. As a result of Anthesis's work, the Alliance grew significantly to include 20 utilities representing over $170 billion in annual spend, creating a powerful community of practice that drives sustainability across the entire industry value chain.
