A Anthesis Case Study
Unite Students, the UK's leading provider of student accommodation, needed to achieve compliance with the ESOS regulations and prepare for forthcoming MEES standards across its large portfolio of 138 properties. They sought to identify energy efficiency improvements beyond their ongoing upgrade programs and turned to Anthesis for its decarbonisation and energy transition expertise.
Anthesis implemented a solution that included a stock-modelling approach, refreshing Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs) and grouping properties into archetypes. This provided Unite with a clear report on improvement opportunities and a user-friendly model for future planning. The work conducted by Anthesis identified approximately £150 million in potential lifetime savings, creating a robust business case for executive approval and ensuring compliance with the new regulations.
