BrewDog, the award-winning Scottish craft beer company known for its sustainability focus, wanted to boost purchase frequency, build a like-minded community, and capture omnichannel customer data across ecommerce and bars while integrating loyalty with its new marketing stack (Bloomreach). To achieve this, BrewDog partnered with Antavo and used Antavo’s loyalty management technology (Enterprise Loyalty Cloud) to design a distinctive, badges-driven program called Planet BrewDog that aligned with the brand’s mission and tech requirements.
Antavo implemented a points-free, badge-based loyalty program with tailored rewards (discounts, free packs, event prizes, sustainability badges) and seamless integration into Bloomreach for personalized loyalty emails. The results were significant: a 40% uplift in first-purchase conversion over three months, a 100% increase in second-purchase retention for new members, and a 136% higher email click-through rate; members’ AOV rose from £30 (1 badge) to £60 (6+ badges) and purchase frequency from 1.14 to 6.04, with over 50% of members holding 3+ badges and an opt-out rate of just 0.01% — all enabled by Antavo’s platform and data sync with Bloomreach.
