Bergzeit, a German multichannel retailer for mountaineering products, needed a way to boost retention despite low purchase frequency, differentiate the brand without relying on discounts, and fit a loyalty solution into its existing CRM and marketing stack. To address these challenges Bergzeit partnered with Antavo and its Antavo Loyalty Management Platform to create a program that rewards an active alpine lifestyle as well as repeat purchases.
Antavo implemented the Bergzeit Club as a hybrid earn-&-burn plus tiered program (three tiers), using its Display API and Membership Site SDK and integrating Strava for real-time activity-based points, plus review, referral and transactional earning paths. The Antavo solution delivered a branded, easy-to-navigate experience, richer customer data from Strava events, and a loyalty journey designed to drive 2nd/3rd purchases and higher lifetime value while integrating smoothly with partners like Emarsys.
