TEMSA - Customer Case Study

TEMSA, a Turkey-headquartered independent bus and coach manufacturer, faced the challenge of verifying the strength and endurance of frame, bodywork and chassis structures to meet European regulation EEC 94/20 for trailer coupling loads. To support in-house product development and rapid design iteration, TEMSA uses ANSYS and ANSYS Workbench™ as its primary CAE/FEA tools.

Using ANSYS Workbench™, TEMSA created FEA models from CATIA geometry, applied the regulation’s vertical and horizontal static loads, refined mesh until stress convergence, and evaluated connection regions and bolted joints; ANSYS analyses let designers detect potential failures early and validate designs before physical testing. As a result, ANSYS helped TEMSA shorten design cycles, reduce rework and production costs, and improve product quality and customer satisfaction by saving time and money.
