Robo-Technology GmbH, a German automation specialist that designs and programs complex robotic systems, faced the challenge of developing an ultrasonic testing system using two synchronized 6‑axis robots to inspect helicopter parts up to 6 m long. The application demanded very fast testing movements with high dynamic precision and tight synchronization, so Robo-Technology turned to ANSYS solutions—using ANSYS Mechanical and ANSYS Workbench—to support its development effort.

Using ANSYS Workbench in a consistent 3‑D CAE environment, Robo-Technology analyzed rigidity and vibration behavior from the earliest design phases, substantially reducing project risk. ANSYS-enabled simulations allowed quick verification of new construction elements, shorter development and design times, and a considerable increase in quality, delivering a fully automatic testing system that produces high-quality results with short processing times.
