Case Study: Jet Towers achieves 80% reduction in installation time with ANSYS AIM

Modular Wireless Towers Designed in AIM Cut Installation Time by 80%

Jet Towers, a small Brazilian startup that builds modular telecom towers for WISPs serving rural areas, needed to cut the typical five‑week design/construction/shipment/installation cycle so they could sign up customers faster. With only one design engineer and no analysts, Jet Towers turned to ANSYS and used ANSYS AIM to address fluid‑flow and structural design challenges for a modular tower line.

Using ANSYS AIM’s CFD and FEA multiphysics workflow, the engineer optimized wind loading, structural profiles and connection methods, designing more than 20 modules and embedding module selection into a sales spreadsheet. With ANSYS, assembly/shipment/installation time dropped from about five weeks to one week (an 80% reduction), and Jet Towers built and installed 35 towers in its first eight months.
