Case Study: Hiter achieves faster valve development and fewer prototypes with ANSYS

A ANSYS Case Study

Hiter - Customer Case Study

Hiter, a São Paulo–based control valve manufacturer with 40 years of experience and Latin America’s only noise and cavitation testing lab, needed flexible, integrated simulation that combined fluid flow and structural analysis and could interact with their existing solid modeler. To accelerate development and reduce repetitive experimental testing, Hiter selected ANSYS solutions — specifically ANSYS DesignSpace and ANSYS CFX as part of ANSYS Mechanical and Fluid Dynamics offerings.

ANSYS implemented bidirectional CAD associativity linking the solid modeler with ANSYS DesignSpace and ANSYS CFX so Hiter could run virtual prototypes and reserve physical tests for final validation. The ANSYS solution eliminated the need for dozens of time‑consuming physical prototypes (each potentially taking up to four months), allowed study of many more design alternatives, saved engineers significant modeling and simulation time, and cut product development time by months.
