Comatec Oy Solves Complex, Real-World Analysis Problems with Engineering Simulation Software from ANSYS

Comatec Oy, a Finland‑based engineering services firm specializing in mechanical design for industrial and mobile machinery, needed to import 3‑D models from multiple CAD systems, handle large assemblies with complicated boundary conditions and nonlinearities, and quickly evaluate stress, vibration, fatigue and thermal loadings for fast customer delivery. To meet these challenges Comatec turned to ANSYS, adopting ANSYS Structural within the ANSYS Workbench environment along with ANSYS Professional and ANSYS DesignModeler.

ANSYS delivered a workflow using ANSYS Structural, ANSYS Professional and DesignModeler in ANSYS Workbench that enabled robust CAD import, automatic contact handling, high‑end meshing and a 64‑bit solver to significantly reduce solution times. The result is faster, more accurate analysis of complex models, fewer prototype iteration cycles, and quicker generation and delivery of reports—improving Comatec’s project turnaround and overall engineering efficiency.
